My heart and soul belongs in the late 60’s and 70’s, it’s true. The style has such lasting power, the energy and vibe that the 70’s brought to the world empowered people to find their heart and soul. When I was planning this Hudson Valley Elopement inspiration, the first place I thought of was Newburgh Vintage Emporium in Newburgh, New York. The entire space is carefully curated to give each shopper a full vintage experience. When you plan your elopement, the beautiful thing, is that you’re doing it for you. There are no rules, you’re not catering to others or family expectations, you’re celebrating your love and commitment to each other just to your liking. Elopements give you the autonomy to bring your vision to life without spending a fortune.
Emma looked like an absolute star in Nasty Gal’s fringed sequin dress that I rented from Jordan Jankun’s Dress Rentals. Donned with vintage emerald green platforms and a hand-painted hat from Luna Bloom, her look was inimitable. Tyler curated his own incredible look with a vintage bell-bottom suit, vintage watch, RayBans, and pointed-toe boots he was truly a vision. The 1968 Pontiac Lemans completed the look as the sun set on our shoot.
When considering the location for your elopement consider what makes your hearts beat the fastest? What energizes you? If you’re unsure, let’s start a conversation and we can brainstorm your perfect elopement. The Hudson Valley and Catskills have so many unique and special spaces and places that hold so much potential for your special day, let’s find yours!
