Its iconic yellow trimmed with black and white checkers can be seen through every borough in the city. When this retreat by the Haven Workshops listed that it had a vintage cab styled shoot in DUMBO, Brooklyn, I jumped at the opportunity. Kayla and Holden were amazing models; both braved the freezing weather and lazy snowflakes that drifted by. Kayla’s dress from Against the Grain rentals, and flowers by Brooklyn’s own Blxxm were incredible, and Holden’s all-salmon suit was perfect. I loved everything about this shoot, and working with the taxi cab owner was so great. I was so surprised when he said how many celebrities graced its interior, such as Lady GaGa, Morgan Freeman, and Meryl Streep.
